We want to help students in our area. If you think your civil liberties have been violated at school, please read more.

1) We review situations that come up in the District of Columbia, Prince George’s County, or Montgomery County. If your situation happened somewhere else, please visit: www.aclu.org/affiliates/ to find your local ACLU.

2) It’s hard to know if your rights have been violated if you’re not sure what those rights are. Review this website for information about your rights in a given situation. Try typing in a keyword to our “Search” function if you’re having trouble finding something.

3)You can call our office between 9am and 5:30pm Monday through Friday to speak with a trained phone counselor about your situation. They will be able to help you decide whether we might be able to help and if you should write us. Our number is (202) 457-0800.
