Like school newspapers, school Internet sites are probably “sponsored” if the school system provides the equipment (computers, software, servers) or if students work on the content in class or post work done as part of a school assignment to a school web site. But if the school has established a web site that is open to student work apart from the curriculum, then it could be considered a public forum or space free of the censorship that can go with regular school-sponsored activities. |
