Can I get in trouble for just visiting some sites?

Yes. If you use school facilities to go online, be cautious because vague rules limit in-school Internet use to “educational purposes.” Your Internet activity may be monitored and you could get in trouble if you access web content that a school official would consider harmful or disruptive. Improper use can result in anything from minor disciplinary actions (calling parents or suspending privileges) all the way to suspension or recommending criminal prosecution.
